Kate has been teaching writing and oral communication courses at HHU’s English department since 2008. She discovered podcasting as a spoken language-learning tool in 2011 and got wildly excited. Successfully infecting others, this blog is the result. She loves combining creativity with the nitty-gritty of phonetics, and hasn’t yet ceased to be surprised by what students create.
Kate isn’t the only lecturer who teaches the podcasting class. In the past, it has been taught by Susan Dostert and Alexandra Habot. Currently it is mainly taught by Matt Emery and Harun Rathore. For more information, check out the Anglistik Sprachpraxis Team.

Creation of the Website
The first version of the website was created by podcasting students Marc and Kirsten, who have now successfully graduated from HHU. The second version of the website was created by Ute, another student who took part in the podcasting class.
